The rare occurrence of a thunderstorm, sunset beneath the clouds, and a 2-hour blackout in the downtown area where I live granted the possibility of decent lightning shots from inside the city.

Exhibited August 2005 at Second Troy art centre in Brandon, MB, Canada.
I've heard this photo called a lot of things, but never eerie before. [Admittedly, the print that was exhibited at a private show here was much lighter, though.]
What really makes this one stand out is the light trails from the cars and the cityscape in the background, in addition to the lightning. Very nice work!

anyway I trust noone get hurt by these lightnings...
We get wicked thunderstorms here on the prairies. Makes for a great light/sound show.
And yes, I've made numerous recordings of thunder, too.
